Similarly, the same word may be pronounced differently in different languages or dialects. For example, the word "father" is pronounced "fa:ðə" in standard British English, but it is pronounced "fa:ðɚ" in standard American English.

Overall, phonetic variations are an important aspect of linguistic diversity and can help to enrich our understanding of different languages and cultures.

Types of /t/ in English
